Is democracy ethical? As conscious politics practitioners, we have to ask: is using the government to coerce “the other party” (or any individual!) to submit to the will of the majority ethical? This is the old question of being forced to support the government’s war when one’s beliefs are non-aggressive and peaceful and one didn’t vote for the majority officeholding party.

This is one of those times, dear sir, when I don't quite see the connection between what I was saying about what one party in an existing democracy can do when the other party - in a de facto two-party system - becomes anti-democratic. From a "conscious" perspective. I do not and will not have anything to say about the ethics of democracy (or the ethics of anything else) -- not my subject, not my interest. I also don't understand the role of coercion in what I was saying. As for when one's beliefs are counter to their government's actions, I personally have a lifetime of experience with that, I have continued to choose and re-choose living here (so far anyway). Lots of other "conscious" practice goes into navigating THAT dynamic.
