I have long been searching, consciously, for alternatives to the salutations of "I hope all is well with you" "I wish you all the best," acknowledging some sort of lack or void in the recipient's life? "Hopes and Wishes are thoughts, ideas, and visions of what could be." We hope and wish for others to become clear about what they want, whether or not they know that is what we mean? Do greetings such as "I hope that this email finds you well" unconsciously imply a lack or am I reading way too much into those types of normalized words? If not, what are better ways to express a greeting in a more positive way? It could easily be me overthinking this, however I have been uncomfortable with using those types of greetings. Either way, I HOPE to hear what you have to say about this.
