I think the point is, as Jews, what can we do about anti-semitism (reality) other than thinking it would be nice without it (fantasy)?

I really appreciate your comment, Barbara, because it gets to the crux of a staple of conscious living: that, as humans, we can be, do, or have anything we desire. That's not me talking, of course, that's the promise and the premise of the law of attraction.

So it seems, perhaps, if I'm gleaning accurately -- and that is hardly a given -- that we have different beliefs, plain and simple. It sounds like you believe talking about what's preferred/desired -- in this case a world without anti-Semitism -- is a fantasy. I believe it's utterly doable. Maybe our beliefs bring us to an impasse and we exit the conversation here or maybe we keep going. Let's see...:)

From the perspective of a conscious politics practitioner, doing something about anti-Semitism would actually START with thinking about a world where it doesn't exist. So, I don't know. Exit? Go on? I am smiling with this and also endeavoring to make a point.

(It was Albert Einstein, by the way, who said that "one cannot solve a problem with the same consciousness that created it" and that's the basic idea here -- so take it up with him! :) Like everything with the new consciousness, it's "new," but not really. What's new is actually living by it.

Exit? Continue?

There are so many layers here, which is precisely why Spiritual Workout for Politics & Current Events (which can be clicked to from the article above but, apparently, not from here in the comments) will begin a week from tomorrow (August 18) -- for conversations just like this.

And, please, let me know if I missed the boat on this in any way. I so appreciate your willingness to comment and intend to respond, always, to the best of my ability and understanding.

I am enjoying the newsletter. It is thought provoking and also offers clear steps to move from old to new thinking. Taking the time for reflection before I respond is a good practice, and the more I practice the more I will find more peace.
